HISTORY AND FACILITIES 

Applied Research operates from modern facilities located in Annapolis, Maryland. The firm was incorporated in Maryland in 1987.  

In its early years, Applied Research focused on the development of embedded controls for the pneumatic systems industry. Eventually, broader demand for its innovative embedded controls and systems provided Applied Research with opportunities in other industries and agencies.

Applied Research has licensed some aspects of its embedded control technology to strategic partners. Applied Research has also begun small-scale manufacturing to fill the niche created by the imposition of large minimum commitments required by established manufacturers.
